Welcoming Litigation Attorney Serena Qamhieh to Blethen Berens!
We are excited to announce that Serena Qamhieh has joined our Mankato office as part of our litigation practice!
Serena comes to us with extensive courtroom experience, having spent nearly three years in criminal defense as both a public defender Justice Fellow in rural communities and a private defense attorney in the St. Louis area. Whether negotiating favorable resolutions out of court or advocating fiercely in front of judges and juries, Serena has dedicated her career to being there for people when they need help most.
A double Hawkeye, Serena earned both her undergraduate degree (with distinction in Political Science & Philosophy) and her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law, where she also coached the undergraduate mock trial team.
When she isn't advocating for clients, Serena loves spending time with family, making music, and hanging out with animals—especially her two dogs, two cats, and local shelter pets.
