We are thrilled to officially welcome Suzanne L. Schneider to the Blethen Berens team! Suzanne joins our firm as an Associate Attorney, bringing a wealth of dedication, sharp legal insight, and a deep-seated passion for advocacy to our family law and civil litigation practice groups.
A Lifelong Passion for Advocacy
For Suzanne, the law is more than a career—it is a family calling. Growing up in the New London and Spicer area in a family of attorneys, she learned early on how powerful a dedicated voice can be when helping others navigate life’s most difficult moments. After spending several years in the Twin Cities honing her skills, she is excited to settle down in the Minnesota River Valley, serving clients throughout central and southern Minnesota.
Solid Experience and Excellent Credentials
Before joining Blethen Berens, Suzanne built a strong foundation of practical family law and judicial experience:
Boutique Family Law Experience: She previously practiced as an Associate Attorney with Henschel Moberg, P.A., a respected, boutique family law firm in Minneapolis.
Judicial Clerkship: She served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Victoria A. Gardner in Ramsey County Family Court, gaining an invaluable "behind-the-scenes" perspective on court proceedings and judicial decision-making.
Academic Achievement & Leadership: Suzanne earned her J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2025, where she served as an Associate for the Mitchell Hamline Law Review and acted as Co-President of the American Constitution Society. She also served as a writing assistant to retired Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Paul H. Anderson.
Whether guidance is needed for a marriage dissolution, custody dispute, child support modification, or obtaining protective orders, Suzanne’s combination of clerkship insight and compassionate advocacy helps her clients move forward with clarity and long-term confidence.
Community & Active Living
When she isn’t in the courtroom or advocating for her clients, Suzanne is likely embracing the outdoors. Suzanne is a former competitive alpine ski racer who raced for the University of Minnesota Duluth and Four Degrees Alpine, she loves downhill skiing, water skiing, surfing, weightlifting, hunting, and gardening.
