Paul’s practice focuses on helping businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individuals with their legal needs.

He advises closely held businesses on many issues, including: entity formation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, dissolution, and day-to-day business issues.  As part of his practice, Paul helps businesses with succession planning and individuals with estate planning to transfer wealth and minimize disruption to the business.

Paul enjoys helping nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations with the unique challenges that arise from their nonprofit and tax-exempt status.  He counsels nonprofit organizations on entity formation and organizational structure, ongoing governance, and a variety of other issues.  He drafts organizational documents, policies, and applications for tax-exempt status.

His diverse real estate practice includes representation of clients in real estate transactions, easement issues, and development negotiations.  Paul also provides title examinations, title opinions, and title insurance.  He frequently works with homeowners’ associations and benefits from practical experience owning a condominium.

During law school, Paul developed expertise helping businesses and nonprofits by serving as a research assistant to corporate law Professor John H. Matheson and volunteering with LegalCORPS, which offers pro bono business law assistance.  Before entering law school, Paul developed irreplaceable professional experience in the financial services industry.  He worked in the compliance department at MoneyGram International and was a personal lines underwriter for American Family Insurance.

In his free time, Paul enjoys running, watching college football, and spending time with his wife.
